Compliance Program

integrity in business

Eldorado Brazil’s Compliance Program is designed to promote our company values and foster a culture of ethics, integrity, compliance, and transparency in business, as well as preventing, detecting, and correcting any irregularities that occur in our activities. The compliance team at the head of the program is responsible for planning and implementing actions, controls, policies, procedures, and training with the ultimate objective of developing relationships of trust and transparency with employees, shareholders, suppliers, service providers, partners, customers, governments, and communities. Eldorado Brazil participates in national and international movements that reinforce our commitment to integrity and ethics in business:
  • UNITED NATIONS (UN) GLOBAL COMPACT

Eldorado Brazil is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and is committed to the principles governing human rights, the workplace, the environment, and anti-corruption.

  • INSTITUTO ETHOS

We are part of Instituto Ethos's Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency, and its Business Agreement on Integrity Against Corruption.

  • AGROÍNTEGRO REGISTRATION

Eldorado Brazil is registered with Agroíntegro, an initiative managed by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, which endorses the integrity programs of companies in the sector.

ANTICORRUPÇÃO
Our ESG strategy, which structures Eldorado Brazil's commitment to environmental, social, and governance sustainability, focuses on transparency, ethics, and anti-corruption. This strategy, which comprises a range of actions and indicators, is aligned with the Anti-Corruption Principle of the UN Global Compact and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key compliance

activities

Our compliance actions focus on identifying and reducing risks to the company's integrity, improving internal controls, policies, and procedures, intensifying training, publicizing our integrity channel—the Ethics Line—and reinforcing a culture of ethics with stakeholders. Our primary compliance initiatives are:
  • Internal audits to identify integrity risks

  • Analysis of external audit results to improve the Compliance Program

  • Identification and assessment of internal controls and creation or updating of compliance policies

  • Employee training and communication campaigns on topics related to compliance and ethics

  • Management of calls received via the Ethics Line, Eldorado Brazil's integrity channel

  • Management of suppliers, including integrity assessments of the company's business partners

  • Ethics Multipliers Program, in which employees from various departments help to raise awareness of the Compliance Program

  • Annual employee survey of how the company's culture of ethics and compliance is perceived internally: results are used to identify opportunities to strengthen the culture and improve compliance

  • Constant monitoring of Compliance Program activities and indicators to make remediations and/or corrections when necessary
